Rae-LOL-you're a real smarty pants. I have a yard full of Amish. The underwear is in the house drying!! LOL
Ribbit, hi. The OLD portion of the house is stone. An addition was built on in the 50's that is wood.
Woody-thank you-but really, it's hard for me to shut up!
Blushingrose-I love to hang out-much prefer it to the dryer. Problem I'm having is all my old "super duper grippy" pins are breaking, one by one, and I can't seem to find decent pins anymore!! Help?
AnniesGranny-oh, you're a sweetie. And I do so love to talk. But, I think I do like the photo series on Weds. and will be doing it from now on.
I love your post.. .for no words it spoke volume's. You did a fine job. Bunny is adorable, flowers are gorgeous and the clothes will smell good when they come in from the line.
Don't need words with photos like that! They speak loud and clearly for themselves! Cute bunny shot, beautiful flowers, wonderful front porch, clean laundry - beautiful veggie gardens all say you are orderly and full of bright life! Great Post!...debbie
Elaine, thank you. Bunny was right outside my picture window...it was a perfect opportunity, and gave me the inspiration to try Wordless Weds. Take care and enjoy the week Sue
Abe-it was hard.....you know I am too chatty at times. Silence is golden, silence is golden.....
Good to be a Queen-That's what I love about the midwest-no one is horrified if you hang out your laundry. We looked at homes out west-I about died-they had restrictions....on hanging out your laundry. Unreal!
Actualy those plants that might suffer from mildew, like phlox, are planted in areas with plenty of air circulation and where they get a lot of sunlight. So it has not been a problem here.
Shelley, Thank you-the bunny is my favorite too! :)
MissyM-Isn't that smell awesome? I love how crisp sheets turn out-no ironing needed! (I have to add that hubby HATES towels hung out, nice smell or not!)
I love all of the pictures around your home. It looks like a beautiful place ... and from a couple of posts back - I'm glad you've decided to save the barn. I love old buildings ;).
And re: the undergarments - I hang mine sideways - with just one clothespin. I don't "think" one can tell what they are ... unless one is really looking ;).
Look at all these words to compensate for your silence, lol. Thought I would leave a note here as further conversation about the lack of rain. Did you know in Asia and parts of India where usually they get monsoon rains this time of year, they are in drought. My garden is 2 to 4 weeks behind depending on the plants. I have a feeling it is going to be hard to find food this winter. I am going to post my take on perennial planting on the blog, thanks for the lead, but by the looks of your flower beds you don't need any help. You sure do have good blog traffic, perfection at every turn, how do you do it? Peace for all
Ahhhh....that little baby bunny looks like he could have been a model for Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit. (love the clothes on the line.....) Did you do your own stonework on your steps? It's so unusual...like a british country cottage. They are gorgeous.
Ruth (RuralRose)-We are all struggling here in northern Michigan with the weather-first a very late freeze in June, and now, no rain. If I do get a tomato, I'll be surprised.
Kelly, the steps were built like that when the house was built in the 30's. I love em too!
Everything looks so wonderful on your farm in summer....aren't you so contented when there are clothes hanging on the line, the lawn is mowed and the gardens are lookin' good!?! LOVE your home!! XOXO Joni
Hello Joni Thanks for your kind comments. I always smile when I see the clothes on the line. THAT , to me, is the essence of country living. Hope your weekend is wonderful! :)
I love gardening, reading, cooking, bicycling, hiking, travel, antiques, and anything involving the outdoors. Very happily married to Mr. Wonderful, who is retired but kept very busy on home improvement projects thanks to a wife who constantly says "Gee, honey, I was thinking.....".

Beautiful flowers. The bunny is so sweet. I love the smell of fresh line dried laundry.
I noticed you didn't have underwear there.LOL
Your flowers are just beautiful, and I love the stone on the house. Is the entire house stone?

Wendy, thanks for your nice comments. And the tip about hanging the undies!! :D
If you thought the post you visited was good or funny then you need to come back tomorrow when it is Finding a Woman.
